FDD in Eclipse Community

I saw that there was an effort to place FDD in the EPF Community like XP,SCRUM, and OpenUP
Was this effort discouraged or prohibited?
I suspect the Eclipse Community has a broad international following that might benefit/expand the FDD community.

EPF - FDD

Would you object to placing FDD in the EPF Community ?
Might be good exposure.

I see little value

I had a colleague take a look at this. I see little value in it. These generic task creation frameworks solve little and invite over-specification and the wrong kind of thinking about projects.
